From LA To NYC: DragCon With Holly 2017

in Blog/Entertainment & LifeStyle/Weekly

The plan, just like in L.A., was to play it casual and wander around for 30 minutes. But let’s be honest, I’m so not one to play it casual when drag queens are around. So as soon as we got inside and noticed a crowd gathering at the back of the hall we ran, and made it pretty close to the front for RuPaul’s opening.

In this current political climate, when I’m genuinely convinced the world is going to end before I turn 35, it’s hard to think positively about the future and what will come. But when RuPaul speaks about us being the future, I have no doubt, even just for a few minutes, that love will triumph and we’ll make it through together. He takes me to church every time I hear him speak, and I feel ready to take on the world, no matter what we face.
