From LA To NYC: DragCon With Holly 2017

in Blog/Entertainment & LifeStyle/Weekly

It was over as quickly as it had started and we left in daze. My jacket is now the coolest thing I own and I never want to take it off.

We decided to go back to see Michelle at this point – I wanted to get a photo signed for my friend back in L.A., and the friend I was with had written her a note she wanted to give her, so we got back in line figuring it would be similar to the previous day.

Boy, were we wrong.

90 minutes later, after her line had to be cut off due to the length, we managed to get in front of Michelle again, while our friends were in line to meet Detox and Peppermint for exactly the same length of time.

One of my suggestions for next year would be some Trader Joe’s-style line signs indicating where the lines start and end. A lot of confusion happened when lines would be split in order to keep the aisles clear and crowds moving, and people would try to join the wrong ends.

I wanted to try to meet Detox seeing as I hadn’t met her in L.A. either, but I also didn’t want to spend my entire day in a line when there were so many vendors just waiting for me to blow my money on! Pins and fans were the hot item for the convention – everywhere you turned, someone was thworrping a fan, or selling a pin. I personally went home with 5 pins, and a beautiful WERQ fan I’m still trying to learn how to thworrp properly.
